Teddy Tedholm wins Show YouTube You Can Dance!

Renowned choreographer and dance teacher Emily Shock just released a video announcing the winner of her online dance competition, Show YouTube You Can Dance. In the end, Teddy Tedholm took home the title of YouTube's Favorite Dancer and a puppy! For more Teddy videos, visit here.

Joshua, Will, and Chelsea at Utah Dance Championships workshop

Season four's Joshua Allen, Will Wingfield, and Chelsea Traille taught some workshops in Utah. Allen, 19, of Texas, said he likes to watch dancers freestyle because he can tell what type of dancer they are. Allen, who has been dancing since he was 9, said the best thing about dancing is learning the different styles.Wingfield, 22, said when he teaches "little ones, I start with the fundamentals and do the very, very basics. Then we do the combos and have a good time with a fun song." He said he also urges his students to not be afraid of doing something different. "Don't hold yourself back because you think you'll look silly," Wingfield told the morning group. "Trust me -- if you do, you'll look more silly." Traille, 23, of Texas, spent her morning teaching improvisation. "I have them explore movements using their hands, then their foot, their head," she said. "Some are still terrified." Improvisation is a gift, Traille said. "Dancers have to think on their toes and let the music carry them."

Superstars of Dance: Identities Revealed

Superstars of Dance: Video Interviews



Here's a little promo video of some interviews with the Irish, Indian, and Chinese dancers. Although there's still no sign of Pasha Kovalev (S3) and Anya Garnis (S3), we're still keeping our heads up! Thanks to the Sadé Council for the heads up!

Article: Queerty Wish List: Neil Haskell

A new holiday-themed article about Season 3's Neil Haskell:

To celebrate the holidays, Queerty is playing Santa to all your favorite folks and asking what they want under the tree/ next to the menorah/ beside the Saturnalia bonfire this year, no Ms. America answers allowed.

After coming in third last year on So You Think You Can Dance?, 21-year-old Neil Haskell has been busying himself with dance films (MTV's The American Mall) and the off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz. With that sort of work schedule, it's hardly a surprise the straight Haskell says, "Most of my friends in [New York] are gay."

Though he says he probably wouldn't consider doing another reality show, Haskell had no problem speaking with Queerty about what he wants for the holidays. His answer may break your heart.

"Someone special; a nice, pretty girl who will put up with my jokes. And a nice girl to kiss and hold on New Year's."

[Ed. note: so does that count as one gift or two?]

Katee Shean's new YouTube Channel

Thanks to Kirstie for the heads up! Season four's top female Katee Shean just created a new YouTube channel on Christmas Eve and has already uploaded two videos of herself featuring her choreography. The videos were from the Dance Attack Intensive a couple days ago in Sunnyvale, California.

Here she is with Leo Morimune dancing to Make It Real by James Morrison.



The other video features her choreography on three students at the intensive: Reed, Kenzie, and Lacy. Reed (the male) is actually one of my favorite local dancers!

Wade Robson reportedly quits Britney's "Circus" tour

According to Life & Style, Brit Brit has dumped her longtime choreographers, Wade Robson and Andre Fuentes. The two choreographers helped launch Brit's comeback appearances in Europe, Japan, and on US television.

And as for Wade, other inside sources are reporting that both he and Andre reportedly quit, stating they've "had it".

Chelsie Hightower reads "Up on a Housetop" to pediatric patients

Seems like I'm not the only one on Santa's good list this year! Chelsie Hightower (S4) took some of her gracious time after the tour to help raise money for pediatric patients of the UC Davis Children's Hospital. After the event, she greeted some patients and sat down to read a couple stories for them. The story I got a recording of is Christmas and holiday-suited, so I thought I should put it up on here!



P.S. - If you're wondering where the patients are, I couldn't record them due to patient privacy! Just imagine them sitting on the floor. =)
