Dance, dance, and dance: A review from Cincinnati

You don’t need a Nielsen ratings book to assume the television series “So You Think You Can Dance” appeals to women more than men. The crowd at the Bank of Kentucky Center Friday night gave it away.

A nearly full house populated mostly by females came out to see the touring version of the TV show, which is an “American Idol”-style amateur competition complete with the requisite straight-talking English judge.

The road version features top finishers from the recently completed fourth season of the show. Joshua Allen, the Season Four winner, highlighted the troupe of 13 dancers that included other crowd favorites like “Twitch” Boss, Kherington Payne, Mark Kanemura and Comfort Fedoke. The crew performed nearly 40 routines in various configurations, mostly solo pieces and in pairs.
